9 Tips to Help You Actually Relax on Holiday With Small Children
A holiday with children isn’t a holiday at all, it’s just parenting somewhere different
Wherever you live in the world, for most of us with small people, the weekly grind of work, school, and play is a lot. If you live in a built-up city, have to do long commutes every day, or have a stressful job it may be all you can do to maximize the little rest time you do have, to avoid burnout.
Holidays look like different things for different people. For co-parenting families, it might look like shuttling family members around, for those with school-aged kids it means waiting out the term and its incessant demands until you can take a break.
Then of course there are many of us- mostly the mums- who have to balance our work and career outside the home, whilst caring for our children during the school holidays. Aka- not a holiday.
